Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

What is this account, exactly?
This account offers free-to-use (obviously abiding by our terms) stock. People can use it as references for their artwork or in photomanipulation. It's just us contributing to the stock providers on Deviantart.
FAQ #217: What are "Stock and Resources" and can I use them in my submissions?

You keep saying "we/our/us", why?
There are actually two of us running this account. One is the main model which you see in the gallery and the other is the photographer (which you may see parts of in the gallery, haha).

Who am I talking to then?
99.999% of the time you will be talking to the photographer. If the model replies to comments, I usually have him state that it's him talking.

Who are you people?

Two college students who sit on our butts all day in front of the computer. (The model wants me to mention that he parkours sometimes.)

Why "mostly"guystock?
We decided to go with that name because only one of us is male and the other isn't and both contribute stock to the account

What/Where are your terms of use/rules?
They are linked on every Deviation page, at the top of every journal and on our profile. Also right here

How do I get all the images?/Where do I find the other pictures of the set?/The images at the bottom are so small, I can't see them!
Please DOWNLOAD the file to access the full size images in each set. The downloadable ZIP file is linked at the right of the preview image. (Below "More Like This")

What are the martial arts poses? Karate or?
The model took Tae-kwon-do for many years in the past so many poses will be from that however some poses are fairly generic/widespread.

Why do poses have turnarounds? I want more poses instead.
We do more angles as some people may want one pose from the back and someone else may want one from the front, etc. We want to cover as wide a range as possible to help as many people as possible.

What if I want x picture but from the opposite side/angle? May I flip the image?
Yes! Feel free to flip/turn/transform the images in whatever way you see fit to suit your needs.

What do the [N] and [C] mean?
[N] means the stock photo is taken nude and [C] means it's taken with clothes (most likely briefs).

Why are you doing all the poses in both nude and clothed? Why not just one or the other?
For nude: These pictures are references for people who may want to know what the body looks like when it's in these positions. Not wearing clothing allows for full access to see exactly how the body looks like with no obstruction of view.
For clothes: Not everyone is okay with seeing/using naked people as stock so to accommodate, there are clothes equivalents of each pose.

May I make a request/suggestion?
Certainly! Just please be sure to check our list first (in our profile ID) to see if it may already be on there. Also keep in mind that we don't have Mary Poppins' bag at our disposal to us so not every prop/set/etc. is readily available/attainable to use.

How tall is the model?
The model is about 5'7'' or about 170cm.

Are you doing this all for free? Why?
Yes! All for free

(Remember to abide by our terms though!)
We know the importance of needing references (especially as an artist myself) and we're happy to release these things for free. As for the model of this account, he feels digital goods could and should be offered on a donation basis.
